The kind of Monarchy system we practised in Nigeria is a system of Patriarchy.
According to Wikipedia, Patriarchy refers to a social system whereby men hold major power and dominate in the roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and other related things.
However, there are a few exceptions to this social system because, at times, women are crowned to rule as traditional rulers.
The female Rulers in Nigeria do the same role and dress the same way the male ruler would because the position is actually meant for a male.
