5 Key Things For Students To Know About 2021 UTME (JAMB)

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced important updates about the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Here are the highlights:

1.    NIN is Mandatory

Candidates must provide their National Identity Number (NIN) at the point of registration.

2.    Registration Dates

The Registration portal will open from April 8 to May 15, 2021.

Candidates can visit the JAMB portal to check the 700 centres approved for registration.

JAMB says there will be no extension.


3.    Registration Fee

According to Jamb official, the registration fee for the application documents is N3,500 and an additional N500 for the recommended reading text.

4.    Optional Mock Exam

Mock Examination will take place on April 8 for those who indicated interest and are registered before April 24.


5.    UTME Exam Dates

UTME is billed to hold from June 5 to June 19, 2021.


6.    Registration Requirements Still Pending

At the moment, the JAMB registration process and its requirements have not started, this is according to the body.

The message reads:

“Information regarding other registration processes and requirements would be made available on the Board’s website and advertised in the electronics and print media from 5th April 2021,” it further explained.
