With the new year fast approaching, many Christians in Nigeria find themselves going to Church between the new year’s eve and new year’s day.
Since Nigeria has some beautiful church buildings ever built, here are five of the most beautiful churches in Nigeria:
1. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Aba
The Aba Nigeria temple is a beautiful church in Abia State.
It is hard to miss since it is so large and has a towering statue of the angel Moroni on top of the spire of the temple.

2. Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos
The foundation stone of the current building cathedral was built by King Edward VIII, this happened when he was still the Prince of Wales on 21st, April 1925.
The Cathedral church was later completed in 1946.
Despite the fact that several renovations happened in the church, it is still one of the beautiful churches in the country.
3. The Synagogue of the Church of All Nations
The church which was constructed in 1991 became one of the most visited places in Nigeria.
The architectural structure of the Synagogue fits into its surrounding effortlessly.
It is designed and built with massive arches, spacious openings and palm trees beautifying its perimeter.
The front entrance has a sizable stained glass window with scenic depictions of various Jewish Holidays.
4. Maria Assumpta Catholic Church
The Catholic Church arrived in Owerri and established as a mission in June 1912.
It was not until 1954 that the construction of the Cathedral began.
However, the Nigerian civil war stopped the construction from 1967 – 1970 and was not until 1980 that it was dedicated.
5. All Saints Anglican Church, Onitsha
The All Saint Anglican Church constructed back in 1949 by the former British Governor-General of Nigeria, Sir John Stewart Macpherson but the church was built in phases over the years.
This place of worship survived the Nigerian Civil war and still remained as one of the most beautiful churches in Nigeria.
