The trending rumour making the rounds is that former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has now tested to Covid-19 and taken to France for treatment.
According to a report gathered from the newsdesk, Mr Tinubu has been sick in France even before the New Year.
The rumour is very fake because according to the statement revealed by Tinubu’s aide, Tunde Rahman, “It’s a big lie from the pit of hell”.
“Bola Tinubu is very okay and fine, he is not sick. he doesn’t have Covid-19 as claimed by many people in Nigeria.”
Mr Tunde also said they have conducted 15 Covid-19 test for Bola Tinubu when he travelled abroad because he mixed with people and from what we gathered, all the results still proved negative.
According to the statement by the Aide, It’s actually true that the APC leader left Nigeria for abroad but not in France. He is in London enjoying his vacation.
The rumour that Bola Tinubu has tested positive for Covid-19 went viral on Sunday.
The fake rumour also has it that the former governor of Lagos State has been flown to France for treatment since December 2020.
Just Like other countries in the world, Nigeria has been affected by this deadly pandemic virus for almost a year now.
Remember that the first case of Coronavirus in Nigeria was recorded in February 2020, after which the cases have now risen to thousands.
As a result of this, many people both the young and old have died from this deadly infection.
At the moment, the total number of virus infection in the country has exceeded 89,000.
According to statistics by NCDC responsible for the treatment of the COVID-19, a total of 1,302 deaths have been recorded so far while more than 74,000 patients have reportedly recovered from the virus.
