A new announcement from Apple confirms the new version of their operating system, iOS 15 which is now available today as a free software update.

This new version is expected to have many new updates ranging from Pictures, calls, Siri and Live Text.

FaceTime on Android And Window Users

FaceTime is Apple’s video and audio chatting platform that makes iPhone users to be able to connect with one another via the standard FaceTime video protocol or using the FaceTime audio feature

According to Apple, the new upgrade will allow non-Apple users to also join their Apple users.

What this means is that non-Apple users won’t be faced with sign-in issues when accessing the platform.

Before now, only Apple users usually have access to this but based on the new feature, non-Apple users can now get an invitation to use FaceTime with a web link that can be shared anywhere in the world.

However, before Non-Apple users can have access to FaceTime, they need to get the latest Chrome or Edge because these are the supported browsers.

Offline Siri

Siri can now work 0ffline to process commands such as set alarm or timer, Phone calls, Messaging, Sharing, Open App among others.

Also, You will be able to use the Apple assistant to send things on your phone to different people.

In case the sharing doesn’t work for some reason, Siri will provide you with an option to screenshot it.

Live Text from Pictures

In this new feature, Apple introduced Live Text that allows you to interact with text in your pictures.

What this means is that you will be able to copy and paste, look up and translate text from pictures, screenshots and in-live previews on Camera.

Shared with you (For pictures and Music)

This one means that you can access your messages from any app.

The concept says, if someone sent you a music or picture link, it will open on the app under the “Shared with you” folder.

You can decide to respond to the content or file that was sent to you on the corresponding app, instead of going back to messaging.

On Apple iOS 15, Shared with you will work for photos, Safari, Apple News, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV app.
