Former Nigeria’s Attorney general, Chief Osuolale Akinjide is dead.
According to a report gathered from The Nation, the legal icon died at the age of 88 and his demise is yet to be disclosed by his family.
Before his demise, He used to be the frontline of Yoruba leader and also he was once a Minister of Education in the first republic, During the tenure of Prime minister, Alhaji Tafewa Balewa and Minister for Justice in the second republic and also during administration of Nigeria’s first President, Shehu Shagari.
He was even member of the judicial systems sub-committee of the Constitutional Drafting Committee of 1975-1977 and later joined the National Party of Nigeria in 1978.
He became the legal adviser for the party and was later appointed the Minister for Justice.
It is really a sad news that a great icon is dead.
