 More Cases of Coronavirus May Cause More Death Rate – Presidency Warns

The Presidency has warned Nigerian Youths to try and protect old people around them as cases of Coronavirus keep ravaging stronger in the country.

According to what Nigerian Center For Disease Control, NCDC reported on Saturday evening, total cases of 28,167 have been recorded so far with death cases hitting 634.

Bashir Ahmad who is the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari took to his official Twitter page to warn that more cases of Coronavirus by Nigeria Youths could kill more older people if they are not properly protected.

He further revealed that every Nigeria Youth should try as much as possible to emulate the health guidelines approved by NCDC.

Here is his full statement as written on the microblogging site, Twitter:

“Do you know that more infections in the younger population can lead to more deaths in the older population who are more vulnerable?

“Take responsibility now, slow down the spread of Coronavirus by respecting all the NCDC protocols. Protect the older ones, this pandemic is very real.”

Recall that NCDC boss, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, has mentioned that youths between the ages 20 and 40 were responsible for the spread.

He added that majority of people having this Pandemic virus are Older people from 50 years and above.

Please let’s adhere to the NCDC’s guideline in order to curtail this deadly virus that has killed thousands of people nationwide.
