Nigerian Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has expressed mixed feelings as Nigeria celebrates 61st independence today.

Taking to her Instagram page, Mercy Aigbe shared photos of herself and bragged about looking like Trinidadian-America born rapper Nicki Minaj.

Captioning the photos, Mercy Aigbe said Nigeria land is supposed to be green, but she does not understand the current situation.

Mercy Aigbe’s post is no doubt connected to the recent happening in Nigerian from the increase in the exchange of dollar to cost of living.

She wrote: The land is supposed to be green but as it is I don’t understand anymore jare. Btw I think I look like Nicki Minaj in the first slide.

However Mercy Aigbe threw a subtle shade at former minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode following his defection from the People’s Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressive Congress party.

This follows the several reactions that greeted the recent move of Fani-Kayode, especially with his consistent criticisms of Buhari’s administration and also sworn never to join the party.

Also reacting, Mercy Aigbe, in a post shared on her Instagram page, said big grammar isn’t a measure for intelligence, adding that some of the country’s so-called politicians need to take several seats.

Mercy Aigbe also likened the recent move of Femi Fani-Kayode as the irresponsibility of the highest order.
