NIMC Registration: How To Link 7 Phone numbers With One NIN Via The NIMC Mobile App

National Identity Management Commission In Nigeria (NIMC) has revealed another important information to help people to link their National Identification Number (NIN) up to seven phone numbers via the NIMC mobile app.

But before you can make use of the NIMC mobile app, you must have gotten your unique NIN.

The National Identification Number (NIN) is what the Nigerian Government will use to establish the identity of every Nigerian.

Recall that last year, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami ordered all Network subscribers to link their SIM lines to their NIN or risk blocking of their lines.

At first, the deadline for the NIN-SIM linking was December 30, 2020, but after Nigerians begged for an extension, the deadline was later shifted to January 19, 2020, so that Nigerians can have time to take part in the exercise.

But now, the new date for the NIMC deadline is February 9 and according to what we heard, this is for those subscribers who are yet to get their NIN (Not registered with the NIMC).

We learnt that if the deadline was not shifted, It could affect the country economy and based on the figures gathered from National Bureau of Statistics, the telecom sector has contributed about 31.8 trillion Naira to Nigeria Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

How to Link 7 phone numbers with the NIMC Mobile App

• If you have already downloaded the NIMC mobile app to your smartphone, you need to log in with your six-digit pin.
• But if you don’t have the app, you can download it via Google Play Store for Android Phones and if you use an iPhone device, you can also get it via Apple App Store.
• Once you have logged in, your user ID will be visible on the mobile app.
• You can then click on my devices and add the phone number you want to link with your NIN.
• An SMS containing your digital ID authentication code (About 6 digits) would be sent to you.
• Input the number to complete the process.
• Repeat the same process for as many numbers you want to link to your NIN.
