The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has now released a new NIMC mobile app to make it easy for people to get their National Identification card.
According to NIMC, the app has a good interface and any Nigerian who want to use it must have gotten his or her National Identification Number (NIN) ready or else access may be denied.

NIMC also said that you are allowed by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) to link up to 7 devices with Nigerian – registered mobile numbers to your NIN.
How To Get and Use the NIMC mobile app
Launch the Google Play store on your android phone and search for “MWS: NIMC MobileID” for the iPhone users, you can use Apple App store to download the app too.
After downloading the mobile app, install and launch it.
Click on the bottom left to skip and then Begin
input your 11-digit NIN number and enter Next then later click I agree.
The mobile number that you used to register for NIN will show up with the below questions:
– I am still using this Mobile number
– I no longer use this Mobile number
– Click on the one that corresponds to the question and press Next
But if you are still using the same mobile number, make sure you enter the User ID and OTP that will be sent to your preferred phone number via SMS and then click Proceed.
On the other hand, if you are no longer using the number again, kindly visit any NIMC office to update your mobile number so that you can continue with the process.
