The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has now stopped Orientation camp activities amidst fear of Coronavirus.
Recall that NYSC Batch A orientation camp kick-started on March 10 and was supposed to end in 21 days.
The news broke out after corps members in the camp were issued their posting letter in last night due to the fear of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
In Plateau state, Some Corps members posted their posting letter on social media for evidence.
The action might have been taken due to speculation making rounds yesterday that all large public or social gathering should be cancelled across the country.
The task force also banned foreign trips for public officials but did not restrict travels to Nigeria from countries with high cases of coronavirus.
It only said travellers from such countries would be on self-quarantine for 14 days during which they would be monitored.
The 11-member task force headed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, announced its resolutions Tuesday night after a meeting in Abuja.
In the early hours of yesterday, Federal Government recorded the third case of coronavirus and from fact, No victim has been confirmed dead even though the virus disease has claimed over 6,000 lives, dominant in countries like China, Italy, Iran and South Korea.
Do you think this action taken by NYSC is the best option in mitigating the spread of coronavirus in Nigeria?
