Fast-rising and upcoming Nigerian artiste Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as “Omah Lay” is a Nigerian songwriter, recording artist and producer.
He got the world attention through his top successful hit tracks “You” and “Bad influence” he’s currently under the management of “keygad” a Nigerian record label.
Temilade Openiyi a.k.a. “Tems” is a Nigerian R&B singer and record producer.
Her hit single “Damages” out of his latest album title “For Broken Ears” which was accepted worldwide is currently topping on “Uganda” Apple Music.
The two versatile artistes performed in “Uganda” on the 13th of December 2020 and got arrested for violating the rules and guidelines of the country over the issues of Covid 19, which makes them show up in court on the 14th of December 2020.
Over the issues so far brings so many controversies and allegations on Social media a day after they were arrested an “Uganda” artiste known as “Cindy Sanyu” took on her social media and rants by calling the artists an “idiots”.
She said ” They throw up a concert where there was no social distancing, No mask, these idiots even post it online and was very proud of it about the fact that he had a successful concert in Uganda”.
All this rants she made got into nerves of Concerned Nigerians, whereby they went to her social page and talk senses in her comment section. Not long ago with so much aggressive words to “Cindy Sanyu” she deleted the post and return back all the insults she got from Nigeria’s.
When this issue of Omah Lay and Tems seems not funny anymore, it brings up Nigerian celebrity to come up over the matter by using the hashtags #freeomahlay #freetems with the like of some artists Wizkid, Burna boy, Davido, Fireboy DML, Oxlade, and many more.
Omah Lay later took to his twitter page where he tweets that “Uganda” didn’t allow Nigeria Government to mends into the matter. Which later brought thought to the mind of Nigerian’s, why Africa Countries hating on one another jealousy and hypocrisy.
A rumour later blew up saying the two artists will bag seven years in “Uganda” prison which later confirmed fake news not long ago.
On the 15 of December 2020 “Uganda” authorities granted there release both the artists and Omah Lay manager Muyiwa Awoniyi.
“The charges against the accused Stanley Omah Lay and Temilade Openiyi along side Muyiwa Awoniyi has been withdrawn against them [Vide Withdrawal Forum Serial No, 4292] dated 15th December 2020, by Uganda Authorities.
