Nollywood Yoruba actress, Fausat Balogun who is better known as Madam Saje has finally revealed why she always acts as the real mother of popular actor, Odunlade Adekola in Movies.

In most Yoruba movies, Fausat Balogun acting as a real mother of Odunlade Adekola is very common to the extent that most diehard fans of these Celebrities have started saying they are from the same family in real life.

However, Madam Saje, in an interview said even though they are actors and must interpret their roles in such a way that will make it real, she enjoys some kind of understanding and connection with Odunlade.


“I act his mother, often in movies, and that is because, we both understand each other a lot, without even talking, I know his next actions in movies. He is my son, and we understand each other a lot. So with him as my son in movies, be rest assured that the interpretation will be perfectly done,” she said.


Recall that the veteran actress kickstarted her Nollywood role in the industry about many years back and she stated that Nollywood has been a blessing to her because of her lovely husband, Rafiu Balogun who she met in the industry.

From a reliable source, the actress actually joined her husband’s theatre group in 1975 and after collaboration, they decided to get married in 1979.

She further said despite being among the top-rated Yoruba actresses in the industry, She is still learning from her husband who is also a veteran actor.

My husband has never acted my husband in any movie at all, he often takes up the role of an elderly man. At times, if I don’t interprete my roles well, he scolds me and frowns at that. He is still my teacher,” she said.
